I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow in Sociology at Colby College. I recently completed my PhD in the Department of Sociology at McGill University, where I was also a trainee at the Centre on Population Dynamics.
My dissertation investigated the social and economic changes individuals face after involuntary job loss in the United States and Canada. More generally, I am interested in social stratification and labor market inequality. My current research also includes projects examining the labor market outcomes of sexual minorities, the economic well-being and health of immigrants to Canada and the United States, and the connection between retirement and cognitive health.
